Mr Kosutic is the Lead for Breast Reconstruction at The Christie Hospital-one of the largest cancer centres in Europe. He has many years of experience with particularly difficult and challenging cases requiring complex reconstruction after breast cancer treatment and is specialised in natural tissue (autologous) breast reconstruction using DIEP flap and other techniques that can be utilised for total or partial breast reconstruction. He was part of Barcelona group that established the use of advanced imaging-CT angiogram and MRI in planning of DIEP flap to make the technique safer and more reliable. He is one of the small number of surgeons around the world offering simultaneous DIEP flap and lymph-node transfer to prevent or treat upper extremity lymphoedema in breast cancer patients.
